Anti-Wrinkle Injections
Anti-wrinkle injections can give you a refreshed look by treating frown lines, crow’s feet and forehead lines. Anti-wrinkle injections can also be used for facial slimming and tooth grinding treatments. We charge from $14 per unit depending on the product used.
Dermal Filler
We offer dermal filler treatment for a whole range of areas including lip volumising, cheek enhancement, for reduction of nasolabial folds, jowls and ‘marionette’ lines. At Seville Medical Cosmetics we charge from $600 – $1500 for 1ml of dermal filler, depending on type of filler and number of units used.
Full Facial Rejuvenation
Using a combination of anti-wrinkle injections and dermal fillers an incredible full facial rejuvenation can be achieved. We talk about ‘decade dosing’ when we are treating the full face and this means using at least 3ml of dermal filler in your 30s, 4mls in your 40s and 5mls in your 50s.
Q & A
…all you need to know
Never had treatment before?
If you have never had treatment before please read below as a quick guide. If you have a question that you can’t find on our site then please contact us and make an appointment with one our doctors.
Anti-wrinkle injections
When anti-wrinkle injections are performed we place a small amount of anti-wrinkle product into the muscle. This product prevents the nerve from telling the muscle to contract.
How long do anti-wrinkle treatments last?
Anti-wrinkle products are made of a protein which is broken down naturally by the body. Ideally the effects of anti-wrinkle injections should last 3-4 months but it can vary depending on the strength of the muscle (the stronger the muscle the more anti-wrinkle ‘units’ you need) and how quickly your body breaks down the product.
What do I have to avoid after anti-wrinkle treatmenst?
We will give you a comprehensive patient sheet after your treatment.
The only thing that we recommend after anti-wrinkle injections is not to rub the area too much for a couple of hours after injection. We don’t want to spread the product inadvertently to areas where we don’t want it to go. Your anti-wrinkle injections are placed with precision in carefully selected areas so don’t rub it. We wouldn’t recommend having a facial on the day of having injections for the same reason.
Common anti-wrinkle myths
There are a lot of myths surrounding anti-wrinkle injections without much good evidence to support in. These are the most common questions we get asked about anti-wrinkle injection aftercare:
Can I do exercise after anti-wrinkle injections?
Yes.
Can I drink alcohol after anti-wrinkle injections?
Yes, you can drink alcohol on the evening of injections.
Can I lie down after anti-wrinkle injections?
Yes you can. There is no evidence to say that you can’t lie down or sleep after treatment.
What does it look like on the day of anti-wrinkle treatment?
On the day of treatment, after anti-wrinkle treatment, there is slight redness around the injection points but this settles after about 30 mins. When we treat the crow’s feet area you may notice tiny raised bumps for about 30 mins. This is where we have injected superficially under the skin in the crow’s feet area to reduce bruising. These little bumps are due to the small amount of fluids that we have injected and this will settle down within 30 minutes.
How much do anti-wrinkle and dermal filler cost?
Please note that Australian law prevents us from using the names of anti-wrinkle and dermal filler products on the website. This is why we have to use the term ‘anti-wrinkle injections’ rather than the name of the brand. We also have to use the phrase ‘double chin injections’ rather than using the brand name.
What is an anti-wrinkle unit?
An anti-wrinkle ‘unit’ is a measured amount of anti-wrinkle product. At Seville Medical Cosmetics we reconstitute a vial of anti-wrinkle product by adding 2.5ml of saline to 100 units.
How many anti-wrinkle units will I need?
A female face generally needs 15-25 units to the frown muscles, 5-10 units to the forehead and 6-12 units to the crow’s feet. ‘Bunny lines’ need 1-2 units each side. A neck lift can be achieved, in the right patient, using 10-20 units. Please note that these unit amounts are a guide only. You can discuss your tailored treatment with Dr Afsharipour or Dr Teoh at your appointment.
How much is my anti-wrinkle treatment likely to cost?
Please use these as a guide only. Also note that when we treat forehead in women we always recommend treating the frown at the same time to prevent the eyebrows from becoming heavy after treatment.

- Forehead anti wrinkle Treatment: 5-20 Units $60-$240
- Frown Lines: 15-25 Units $180-$300
- Crowes Feet: 3-12 units each side = 6-24 both sides $60-$288

How many anti-wrinkle units do men need compared to women?
A male face typically needs approximately 50% more units than a female face but individual requirements can vary. Men tend to have stronger facial muscles which require more anti-wrinkle product to have the desired effect.
Is there a cheap anti-wrinkle brand and an expensive brand?
There are actually 3 anti-wrinkle brands currently on the market here in Australia. The frustration is that, by law, we are not allowed to mention brand names on websites
Dermal fillers
Dermal fillers help to replace lost volume that occurs with the ageing process. As we age there are a number of processes that contribute to changes in the face that we see in the mirror. Firstly we lose the fat pads in the face which help keep the skin plump and young. The facial bones change causing loss of cheekbones and widening of the orbit. Collagen is lost in the skin causing laxity.
How long do dermal filler treatments last?
Dermal fillers help to replace this lost volume and thereby giving the face a more youthful appearance. Fillers last between 6-24 months depending on the dermal filler used and the amount injected but can vary from person to person.
How much is my dermal filler treatment likely to cost?
The cost of dermal filler depends on the area treated. As a general rule you need to use thinner fillers in the lips and under the eyes and thicker fillers in the areas where you want more lift (lower face and cheeks).
At Seville Medical Cosmetics we charge from $550 – $880 for 1ml of dermal filler, depending on the filler used. At Seville Medical Cosmetics we use the premium dermal fillers available in Australia, which have TGA approval to be used for the type of the treatment we offer within our centre. (Please refer to our price list).
As a general rule we use the following amounts of dermal fillers when treating: (please use this as a guide only and discuss with your practitioner on the day).
- Lip dermal filler – 1ml- 2ml
- Cheek dermal fillers – 1 to 3mls
- Marionette lines – 1 to 2 mls
- Nasolabial folds – up to 1ml. Remainder can be used in another area
- Tear trough – 1ml
- Chin – 1ml
